I make my paper talisman on 80lb cardstock using a printer and paper cutter tool. “Laminated” talismans are coated in clear packing tape, nothing too fancy.

When creating astrologically-timed talismans, speed is the name of the game. I have to fully create and consecrate the talismans in a short window of time, usually between 20-45 minutes windows, that occur fairly rarely. In that time, I make and consecrate as many talismans as I can. Coating a talisman with tape takes about four times the amount of time as an uncoated talisman takes but helps the talismans last longer.

No refunds on paper astrological talismans.

Due to the nature of magical items like astrological talismans, I cannot guarantee any particular results or effects. These talismans are ultimately entertainment items that you purchase at your own risk.

I also cannot in good conscience reuse or resell a talisman that has been returned, and so I do not take returns on talismans.

You will need some additional materials to consecrate your talisman and maximize its effect on your life. The ritual words will be included with your talisman info sheet.

Tools: A candle and lighter, incense and holder, and an altar cloth.

Traditionally these are done in a specific color, use a specific number of colored candles, and a specific scent of incense. I nearly always use only one white candle and match my altar cloth color to the specified color, and I use one of the traditionally recommended incenses.

If you think you may purchase multiple talismans and don’t want to own so many unique items, you could purchase one white candle, one white altar cloth, and use my recommended universal incense, frankincense. Mugwort is also the most frequently recommended incense in the medieval sources.

Generally speaking, planetary talismans (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn) are only recommended when that planet is not afflicted in your natal chart. If it is afflicted, it is recommended to choose a fixed star talisman that accomplishes a similar job.

For example, the Sun talisman is not recommended for people with Sun in Libra or Aquarius. For those people, a Fixed Star Regulus Talisman could be appropriate instead.

I recommend checking a system of divination to see if a specific talisman could be helpful for you. If your intuition or divination says a talisman will work for you, I’d use that to override the basic astrological reasoning above.

What are systems of divination? Tarot, channeling, the IChing, runes, etc. If you have a system you already use, use that.

You can try a free digital IChing reading from https://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/reading/free-online-i-ching/ if you do not already have a divination system. Phrase your question like, “What will happen if I use this talisman?” or “What could this talisman do for me?” Yes-or-no questions are not as recommended with IChing divination.

Since I do not have all astrological talismans available at all times, you can try other sellers, too.

These books reference writings of medieval renaissance astrological magic, such as the writings of Cornelius Agrippa, the Bodleian manuscript, and the Picatrix. You can purchase talismans, mostly cast in bronze, from Christopher Warnock at his site https://www.renaissanceastrology.com. These high quality talismans are usually priced between $300-500. I see my own paper talismans as a more accessible option.
